In addition to her academic endeavors, she enjoys hiking, biking, and kayaking. She is an avid martial arts student, and co-instructs Women’s Self Defense seminars, hoping to help empower and assure women in the DC-area. She believes there is great power in knowing how to defend yourself and believes every person should feel empowered in any scenario.
Previous to her diagnosis, she was an avid weightlifter and on a weightloss journey. She is currently working towards getting back to this journey and hoping to inspire other EDSers that weightlifting is possible and can be beneficial.
